Pest control across Egypt: cleared fast and for good, with a 5-year written guarantee

Available now · Next visit in about an hour

We clear pests fast and for good, in every governorate in Egypt. Fast, because technicians are spread across the governorates and we send the closest one, so the visit is same-day wherever you are. For good, because the work starts with an inspection that finds the source of the infestation rather than the place you noticed it, the programme runs until that source is closed, and the result carries a 5-year written guarantee. You do not need to leave the flat while the work is done.

Quick diagnosis

What are you seeing?

Pick the closest description. It will tell you which pest you are most likely dealing with and what the programme for it looks like, before you speak to anyone. This is not a substitute for an inspection, since several of these overlap, but it will usually get you to the right page.

Pick what you are seeing

Pick the closest description above and we will tell you what it most likely is and what we do about it.

Bed bugs

High risk

The dark specks along the seam and the piping are the giveaway. Bites arriving in a line or a tight cluster, usually noticed in the morning, point the same way. The programme is two visits fourteen days apart, because the eggs are not affected by the first one. Anyone offering a single visit is selling you the first half.

Rodents

High risk

Sound at night and droppings in a run along a wall are the two reliable signs. Killing what is inside is the easy half. A mouse gets through about six millimetres and a young rat through about fifteen, so unless the gaps are sealed the next one enters the same way. The programme is bait plus sealing.

Cockroaches

High risk

What crosses the floor is the overflow. The nest is in a warm, tight cavity: behind the fridge motor, under the sink, inside the water heater housing. Bait that they carry back into the harbourage is what reaches it. Spray scatters them into more cavities and makes the next stage harder.

Woodworm

Moderate risk

The powder is frass pushed out by larvae working inside the timber, and the holes are exit holes from adults that have already left. Surface treatment does nothing because the damage is happening inside the wood. The method is injection into the timber itself, which is slower and is the only thing that reaches the larvae.

Fleas

Moderate risk

Ankle-height bites and carpets are the pattern. Treating the animal alone will not clear it: roughly five per cent of an infestation is on the pet and the rest is eggs, larvae and pupae in the carpet pile, the skirting edges and the gaps between floorboards. The work is on the floor, not on the animal.

Mosquitoes

Moderate risk

They breed in standing water, and the water is almost always closer than people expect: the air-conditioning drip tray, a plant saucer, the base of a roof tank, a bucket on the balcony. Treatment without dealing with the source buys you a few days. The first thing the technician does is find the water.

Services

The best pest control services in Egypt

Each service has its own protocol, because the insects behave differently. Bed bugs mean working the seams and the eggs. Rodents mean sealing entry points, not just killing what you can see. Cockroaches mean bait that reaches the nest instead of spray that scatters it. Every visit starts with an inspection before any treatment, and every programme comes with a five-year written guarantee.

Nationwide coverage

We cover every governorate, and how fast we get there depends on where you are

We work across every governorate in Egypt, and the visit is same-day wherever you are. That is possible because technicians are spread across the governorates rather than sitting in one place, and we send the closest one. Inside Greater Cairo arrival is measured in minutes and we have the figures below. Outside it the visit is still same-day, and we give you the hour on the call based on where the nearest technician is at that moment. The figures below are estimates rather than guaranteed times.

Outside Greater Cairo we do not publish minute figures, not because the service is slower, but because the number depends on where the nearest technician is at that moment. We give you the hour on the call before anyone sets off, and if the closest technician is already on a visit we tell you straight away rather than after you have waited.

The visit

What actually happens during a visit

Five stages, and the first one is not treatment. The technician inspects before anything is applied, because treating the wrong pest wastes the visit and treating the right pest in the wrong place wastes the material. You will be told what was found and what is about to happen before it happens. The whole thing takes between one and two hours for a normal flat.

  1. Technician inspecting a kitchen cabinet with a torch

    Inspection

    15 to 25 minutes

The technician goes through the rooms with a torch, looking at the places the pest in question actually lives rather than the places you have been seeing it. Mattress seams and bed frames for bed bugs. Behind and under appliances for cockroaches. Pipe penetrations and door gaps for rodents.

  2. Technician writing the inspection findings on the visit sheet

    What he found

    5 to 10 minutes

Before any treatment, he tells you which pest it is, where the focus points are, and what the programme will be. If it is a two-visit programme he says so now, with the date of the second visit, rather than after the first one is done.

  3. Technician placing a bait station behind a kitchen unit

    Treatment

    25 to 50 minutes

Targeted at the harbourage, not sprayed across rooms. Bait where bait is what works, heat where heat is what works, sealing where the problem is a gap. Furniture gets moved and put back. You can stay in the flat throughout.

  4. Open window in a treated room during the ventilation period

    Ventilation

30 to 45 minutes, after the technician leaves

Open the windows in the treated rooms for half an hour to three quarters of an hour. This is a comfort measure rather than a safety one, and it matters most in the bedroom. Keep pets out of treated rooms for the same window.

  5. Technician re-checking a mattress seam on the follow-up visit

    Follow-up visit

Separate visit, 20 to 30 minutes

For bed bugs this is fourteen days later and it is part of the programme, not an extra. For other pests it is a check rather than a second treatment. The technician looks at the same focus points and tells you whether anything is still active.

Safety

Children, pregnancy and pets: what we actually do differently

Tell the technician who is in the house before he starts, and the visit changes accordingly: room order, method, and how long you ventilate. The most common change is treating the bedroom last so it gets the longest window before anyone sleeps in it. None of this costs anything extra and none of it needs to be requested in advance. Just say it at the door.

  • Children and infants

Toys and anything that goes in a mouth get moved out of the treated room before work starts, or covered. Bedrooms are treated last so they have the longest ventilation window. Cots and changing areas are treated by hand rather than by spray, or left untreated and dealt with by heat.

  • Pregnancy

Say so before the technician starts. The bedroom is treated last, and mattress work is done by heat rather than by a treated surface wherever it is practical. If you would rather step out for an hour, that is easy to arrange, but it is a preference and not a requirement.

  • Pets

Cats, dogs and birds go into an untreated room, or out, for the treatment and the ventilation window after it. Fish tanks get covered and the air pump switched off for the same period. Litter trays and food bowls come out of the treated room and go back after ventilation.

  • Asthma and sensitivities

Tell us when you book, not at the door, so the technician can plan around it. He will lean on bait and physical methods, keep treated surfaces away from the affected person's room, and extend the ventilation window. If there is a specific product concern, ask your doctor. We cannot advise on that.

  • Food and kitchen items

Cover exposed food or put it in the fridge, and close cupboards that are standing open. Cutlery and crockery left out on the counter should be put away. Nothing needs to be emptied out or washed afterwards if it was covered while the work was done.

If anyone in the household has a respiratory condition or a known sensitivity, say so when you book rather than at the door, so the technician can plan the room order before he arrives.

The written guarantee

A 5-year written guarantee, on paper, with a signature

The technician leaves a sheet with you carrying the pest, the visit date, the technician number and his signature. That sheet is the guarantee. It covers the same pest returning from the same source in the same unit that was treated, for five years. Keep it, because a claim is made against that sheet, and without it we have no record of what was treated or when.

A customer signing a completed guarantee form while the technician reviews its fields, signatures and stamp

The guarantee covers

  • The same pest returning from the same source in the treated unit
  • A repeat visit at no additional charge within the guarantee period
  • The second visit in the bed bug programme, which is part of it, not an extra
  • Re-treatment of any focus point missed on the first visit

The guarantee does not cover

  • A fresh infestation arriving from a neighbouring unit through a shared wall or service riser. This is treated as a separate case, and we say so before we start rather than after it happens.
  • Damage that was already there: a gap under a door that has not been closed, a broken seal, a window without mesh. We will point these out and we can seal them, but leaving them open is outside the guarantee.
  • A unit that has changed hands or changed use since the treatment, or where structural work has been done in the treated area.

How to claim

  1. Call with the sheet in front of you, or send a photo of it
  2. We check the pest and the visit date against our record

For businesses

Restaurants, hotels, clinics and warehouses

Commercial work runs on a schedule rather than a call-out, because a restaurant that waits until it has a visible problem has already had it for weeks. The programme is a fixed visit interval, a written record per visit, and a named technician who knows the site. Visits are scheduled around your closing hours, and the paperwork is written so it holds up when an inspector asks for it.

Technician checking behind equipment in a commercial kitchen
  • Restaurants and cafés

The pressure points are the grease trap, the area behind the cooking line, and the waste store. Visits are scheduled outside service hours and the record is written to be shown, with each check point listed and dated. Bait stations are placed where they can be inspected without moving equipment.

  • Hotels and serviced apartments

Bed bugs are the main risk and they arrive with guests, which means the job is detection speed rather than treatment strength. Housekeeping is briefed on what to look for on a mattress seam, and a flagged room is inspected the same day rather than at the next scheduled visit.

  • Pharmacies and clinics

Stock areas and the gap behind shelving units are where activity starts, and the constraint is that a large part of the space cannot be treated with a surface method. The work leans on bait, monitoring and sealing, and visits are timed around opening hours.

  • Nurseries and schools

Everything happens outside teaching hours with a full ventilation window before the building is used again. Play areas and anything a child puts in their mouth are cleared or covered first. The written record is kept per visit because parents and inspectors both ask for it.

  • Warehouses and factories

Rodents entering at loading bays and along service lines are the recurring issue. The programme is a mapped set of stations with a numbered check on each visit, plus sealing at the points where the structure lets them in. Large sites get a site plan with the station positions marked.

One thing worth being straight about: a food business shares its structure with its neighbours, and in a mall or a mixed-use building the pressure from adjoining units is constant. We can hold your unit clean and we can document that we are doing it, but we cannot control what walks in from the unit next door. Sites where that is the main pressure need a shorter visit interval, and we will say so rather than sell you a standard schedule that will not hold.

Frequently asked

Questions people actually ask

General

What do pest control companies charge?

Two things set the number: the floor area, and how far the infestation has spread by the time we inspect. A one-bedroom flat with a single focus point is not the same job as a villa with activity on two floors, and the gap between them is wide. That is why there is no fixed figure we can give before seeing the place. We give you the number on the call or on WhatsApp after a few questions, and always before anyone comes out. Anyone quoting you a price sight unseen is guessing.

How do I tell a good pest control company from a bad one?

Ask three questions. Does the technician inspect before treating, or does he start spraying on arrival? Is the guarantee written on paper with the pest, the date and a signature, or is it something said on the phone? And does the company tell you what it cannot do? A company that treats your unit will admit it cannot control what comes through a shared wall from a neighbour. The ones that promise everything are the ones to be careful with.

How do I book a visit?

Call or send a WhatsApp message. Tell us the area, the kind of property, and what you have been seeing. The time of day matters, and so does the room. We give you the nearest visit window for your area and confirm the day before. The technician arrives, inspects, and explains what he found before any treatment starts. Nothing is done to the flat before you have heard what it is and agreed to it.

Do I have to leave the flat during treatment?

No. The work is targeted at the places the pest actually lives: seams, cracks, cavities, the backs of appliances. It is not sprayed across open rooms, so there is nothing to walk out of. You will want to ventilate the treated rooms for thirty to forty-five minutes after the technician leaves, and keep food covered while he works. Families with newborns or someone with a respiratory condition sometimes prefer to step out for an hour, and that is fine, but it is a preference rather than a requirement.

What does "German" mean in the company name?

It is a trade name, and it has been the company name for thirty years. Speed German is an Egyptian company, registered in Egypt, working in Egypt, with Egyptian technicians. We are saying that plainly because the word appears in a lot of company names in this market and it is worth knowing what it does and does not mean. It does not mean a German parent company, and it does not mean imported anything.

Bed bugs

What is the fastest way to get rid of bed bugs?

There is no one-visit answer, and any company that offers you one is selling you the first half of the job. Bed bug eggs are not affected by the first treatment. They hatch roughly seven to twelve days later, which is why the programme is two visits with fourteen days between them. The second visit lands after the eggs have hatched and before the new adults can breed. Skipping it is the single most common reason an infestation comes back.

What actually kills bed bugs?

The method matters more than the material, and we do not discuss materials on the website. What works is reaching where they live: the mattress seams, the piping, the back board of the bed frame, and the cracks in the frame itself. Heat treatment handles items that cannot be treated any other way. What does not work is spraying surfaces, because a bed bug spends almost all its time inside a seam or a crack, not on an open surface where a spray lands.

Are bed bugs a risk during pregnancy?

Bed bugs do not transmit disease. The real problems are the broken sleep and the scratching, and both matter more during pregnancy than they otherwise would. For treatment, tell the technician before he starts. He will work the bedroom last so it has the longest ventilation window before it is used, and will use heat treatment on the mattress rather than a treated surface wherever it is practical. If there is any doubt at all, ask your doctor first. We are not in a position to advise on that.

What does it mean if bed bugs appear in my home?

Not that the place is dirty. Bed bugs travel on luggage, on second-hand furniture, and through shared walls and service risers in a building. A spotless flat and a neglected one are equally likely to get them. What it usually means is that something recently came into the flat, or that a neighbouring unit has an infestation and it has spread along a shared route. The inspection will usually tell you which of the two you are looking at.

Rodents

What does rodent control cost?

Same answer as the general one, with one addition specific to rodents: a large part of the work is sealing entry points, and how many there are is not knowable until someone has looked. A ground-floor flat with one gap behind a kitchen unit is a short job. A villa with a garden, a service yard and gaps under three external doors is not. We give you the figure after the inspection, or on the call once you have described the property.

Is there a permanent solution for rodents?

Killing what is inside is the easy half and it is not permanent on its own. A house mouse gets through a gap of about six millimetres and a young rat through about fifteen, which is smaller than most people picture. Unless those gaps are closed, the next one walks in the same way. The programme is bait plus sealing: around pipe penetrations, under external doors, behind kitchen units, and at any point where a service line enters the building.

Do ultrasonic rodent repellers work?

No, and we will say so even though we sell nothing instead of them. The evidence for them is poor, and the practical problem is simple: the sound does not pass through walls or furniture, so it does not reach the cavity, the void behind the units, or the gap under the floor, which is exactly where the rodents are. People often buy one, see activity drop for a few days, and read that as the device working when it is the disturbance of installing it.

Cockroaches

Why do I suddenly have so many cockroaches?

Because you are seeing the overflow, not the population. German cockroaches nest in warm, tight cavities: behind the fridge motor, under the sink, inside the housing of the water heater. What you see crossing the floor at night is the part that could not find space in the harbourage. By the time they are visible in daylight, the nest is well established. That is why the treatment is bait that they carry back rather than a spray that scatters them into more cavities.

Does chlorine kill cockroaches?

No. Chlorine cleans and it removes the food traces and grease that draw them, which is genuinely useful, but it does not reach the nest and it does not affect eggs. Pouring it down a drain drives whatever is in the pipe further in rather than killing it. Use it for cleaning, keep doing that, and treat the harbourage separately. We are saying this about a product sold in every supermarket, and it is not something we work with.
