Is El Shorouk part of New Cairo?
No. El Shorouk is a new city in its own right, with its own city authority under the New Urban Communities Authority. Since a 2021 decision by the Housing Minister, the Cairo to Suez road is El Shorouk's southern border and New Cairo's northern one. In English you will see it written El Shorouk, Al Shorouk or Al Sherouq, and all three are the same city.
Addresses go by district and neighbourhood: official notices use forms like the First Neighbourhood of the Third District, next to named areas such as the family housing area and Iskan El Mostakbal. Give the district, the neighbourhood and the building or plot number. Entrance 2 on the Suez road faces Madinaty's Gate 2 across the road, so if you direct us by the gate, say El Shorouk.
Getting to you
Twenty-five to forty minutes is the estimate in our area table for El Shorouk, counted from wherever the nearest available technician is, not from our office in New Cairo. If you live near the light rail, the two stations are named El Shorouk 1 and El Shorouk 2, and either one is a clear landmark to give on the call.

How the treatment works

Cockroaches get targeted spraying at the nest the inspection finds. Bed bugs get spraying and fumigation in the same visit, after the mattress seams and bed joints are opened up. Ants are followed back to the entry point, and the nests are sprayed and sealed. Rodents are the one case for bait: closed stations along the runs, every gap wider than six millimetres sealed, and a check a week later. Ticks are treated where the animal sleeps and moves, while the animal itself goes to the vet.
Every visit begins with an inspection before anything is applied. The technician tells you which pest it is, where the focus points are and what the programme will be, and none of it starts until you have heard it. You do not need to leave the property while the work is done, because the treatment is targeted at the places the pest lives rather than sprayed across open rooms, though you will want to ventilate the treated rooms for thirty to forty-five minutes afterwards.
The guarantee, and what it does not cover
Every programme carries a 5-year written guarantee. The technician leaves a sheet with the pest, the visit date, the technician number and his signature on it, and that sheet is what a claim is checked against. It covers the same pest returning from the same source in the unit that was treated.
What it does not cover is a fresh infestation arriving from a neighbouring unit through a shared wall or a service riser. We treat your property, not the building, and where that is a real risk in El Shorouk we will say so before starting rather than after it happens.
