Pest Control in First Settlement

How First Settlement addresses are written
The First Settlement is part of New Cairo. The New Urban Communities Authority's sheet for the city lists it with the Fifth Settlement, the Third Settlement and the eastern and southern extensions, and the New Cairo City Development Authority runs its field campaigns across all three settlements.
Addresses here go by neighbourhood (mujawra). A Housing Ministry statement on work in the First Settlement names the Fourth neighbourhood, the 'Yasmin even' neighbourhood and the Banafseg areas numbered 7 to 12, along with the entrances to the Mostafa Kamel axis from Ninety Street and the Taha Hussein axis. Yasmin also turns up in the ministry's news about the Fifth Settlement, which mentions a Yasmin Mall area there.
Getting to you
Fifteen to twenty-five minutes is the estimate in our area table for New Cairo, and the First Settlement is officially part of New Cairo; the table also notes that Yasmin is inside this window. It is counted from the nearest available technician, not from our office. When you book, give the neighbourhood name with its number, and say whether you are nearer the Mostafa Kamel axis or the Taha Hussein axis.
The visit is same-day. The window is an estimate rather than a promise: if the closest technician is already on a visit we call you with the new time before anyone sets off. If a particular hour matters to you, say so when you book.
How the treatment works
Each pest has its own method. For cockroaches, bed bugs, ants, fleas and mosquitoes it is a single visit with a follow-up fifteen days later: a preventive spray at no extra charge. Cockroaches get targeted spraying at the nest the inspection finds. Bed bugs get spraying and fumigation in the same visit, after the mattress seams and bed joints are opened up. Ants are followed back to the entry point, and the nests are sprayed and sealed. Rodents are the one case for bait: closed stations along the runs, every gap wider than six millimetres sealed, and a check a week later. Ticks are treated where the animal sleeps and moves, while the animal itself goes to the vet.
Every visit begins with an inspection before anything is applied. The technician tells you which pest it is, where the focus points are and what the programme will be, and none of it starts until you have heard it. You do not need to leave the property while the work is done, because the treatment is targeted at the places the pest lives rather than sprayed across open rooms, though you will want to ventilate the treated rooms for thirty to forty-five minutes afterwards.
The guarantee, and what it does not cover
Every programme carries a 5-year written guarantee. The technician leaves a sheet with the pest, the visit date, the technician number and his signature on it, and that sheet is what a claim is checked against. It covers the same pest returning from the same source in the unit that was treated.
What it does not cover is a fresh infestation arriving from a neighbouring unit through a shared wall or a service riser. We treat your property, not the building, and where that is a real risk in the First Settlement we will say so before starting rather than after it happens.

Floor area and how far the infestation has spread are what set it, so there is no fixed figure we can give sight unseen.
